Ninot for Atletico Madrid game unveiled
The latest 'Ninot' figurine for the 'Sempre Falles' initiative has been revealed, and will be presented to Atletico Madrid this weekend ahead of Saturday's LaLiga game at Mestalla.
Designed by artist Vicente Espeleta from Burriana, the model features the 'Hemisfèric' section of Valencia's emblematic Ciudad de las Artes attraction, as the base for a footballer performing an overhead kick. The club's latest opponents are referenced with the bear and tree featured on the Atletico Madrid badge.
Previous ninots have been gifted to visiting sides SD Huesca, Real Betis, Getafe CF and Real Madrid in the moments before their games at the stadium. The intention is to promote the city of Valencia and help the Fallas artists during the Covid-19 crisis, as well as providing a unique souvenir for LaLiga teams.
